Details:

Christa uses gilding to enhance mood and add richness to almost any medium. She uses acrylics, charcoal and handmade ink pens.
 
Christa studied art in South Africa and was co-owner of an art gallery, managing her own corporate promotional 
business including stationery design and gilding of corporate awards.

She has spent the last twelve years in Australia: Darwin, Gladstone and now Brisbane.

Objective:

Our objective in this workshop was to learn how to incorporate gilding into our artworks.

Materials

  • Any Ink
  • A few big watercolour brushes (2cm + in width)
  • Backing board and masking tape, slightly bigger than A3
  • Optional water soluble graphite
  • Watercolour paper 300gms A3 size

  • Patina and Thinners
